Daily devotions

Sunday

Early Sunday morning in Riga - April 3

Another Sunday after a busy week!
Last Sunday we went down to Bauska for the Sunday meeting. The hall was full and extra chairs had to be placed out before the meeting could start. During the service Ruth and I sang a duet in Latvian and the people even said they could understand our Latvian. On top of that the Bauska Singers sang a song in Swedish. We could understand the text even if they probably did not know what they were singing themselves. It was a good meeting and many people responded to the altar call.

Last Thursday we went down to Bauska again. This time for the Home League Meeting. We performed a program with music and testimonies from our lives.

Between the two meetings in Bauska we had the Wednesday meeting at Riga 2. For the first time we sang a duet in Russian. We cannot read Russian letters but we were helped at our office to write down the Russian text with letters understandable to us. As usual there was a large crowd gathered at the corps and they received the message with open hearts.

Last Saturday it was time for the regional Bible Olympics with children from all over Latvia. I will write more about that during the week.

Saturday evening we attended the Prayer Meeting at Riga 1. The first hour we spent worshipping God and prayinf for each other. The second hour we prayed for people who have not been saved yet.

During the week Ruth and I also celebrated that it was 42 years ago that we married in a church outside Norrköping. We celebrated with flowers and dinner.

During this week our site, rupeba.se, celebrated three years of intensive blogging. Thanks for all encouraging greetings in the Guest Book (Gästbok) and mail.

Now it is Sunday morning and we will soon be on our way to Iecava for the Sunday morning meeting. On our way we will pick up two of the cadets who will participate in the meeting.

And then it is time for a new week and I pray that it will be a blessed week for you.
