Daily devotions

Sunday

Early Sunday morning in Stockholm, August 26

This weekend we have been in Uppsala, Sweden, to speak at the conference "Bygget" (The building)
The worship group from Västerås with Daniel Viklund and Marina Bratterud
In the opening meeting Friday night Ruth spoke on the theme "To be called". The worship team från Västerås from Västerås was leading us in worship. Many people took off their shoes and went forward to the cross in the end of the meeting after Ruth´s sermon about the calling of Moses: 1/ Dare to come close to God, 2/ Take off your shoes, 3/ Put on your calling.
Saturday was an intense day. We started with a workshop "Equipped to save" starting with William Booth´s vision "Who cares?" You can read the vision here.

Who cares?
Saturday afternoon was the welcome meeting of the new cadets. Eight cadets marched in to start their two year training to become officers in the Salvation Army.
Eight first year cadets, and in the second row the second year cadets
In the evening meeting there was a special offering for the new corps planting in Saldus, Latvia.
Saldus
Now it is Sunday morning and soon time to drive up to Uppsala and the final meeting. I will speak from the words of Jesus in John 4:35: "Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest."

Ripe for harvest
After the meeting we will go back to the harbour in Stockholm, spending another night on the boat back home to Riga.

I pray that you will have a blessed coming week
